chiefie: That (what TheFatMould said) or TVNZ OnDemand is on PS3 and pretty much not too far to go, PlayTV for PS3 be out this year (from my source)... and PSN will soon offer Movies rental (premium PSN services)

It can be done, I don't know if you would say 'easily' though. At the very least you'll void the warranty. I'm not overly bothered because everything I'm in no hurry to watch is stored on my server.
myopinion: Yeah tell me about it...I bought my TiVo last week for $920 (payments spread over 24 months). I'm spewing. Any ideas?
