Starting Saturday my Tivo has stopped recording some shows because it thinks they are repeats e.g. ONE News at 6, which I'm pretty sure is not repeated each night.  Another one is Q + A on Sunday mornings.  Anyone else noticed this?  I have fixed by setting the season pass to All instead of First Run.

Hi,
Yes I had the same problem starting Saturday, it didn't record One News saturday or sunday night. I also set it to record all episodes, will see if it works tonight.

It also didn't tape NCIS last night either. Not sure what is going on.

Peter

Same thing for me. Perhaps an issue with how they're coding the EPG? Have had to set one news at 6 to record duplicates as well. It's like each program used to have it's own episode number and now they're all coded the same. I'll have to go through and make sure other programs aren't affected. Rather annoying.

I'm emailing support about this.  Will let you know what reply I get.

Yah, I had a similar issue a while ago, perhaps with Campbell Live? I think it's the flags in the EPG, however they work, not flagging as a new episode. I think when it happened for me it just resolved itself after a few days.

Cheers,
Joseph.

+1

seems safe to say it's not an individual configuration issue and is a problem with the EPG

TVNZ have stuffed up their episode descriptions (or numbering), so TiVo thinks that it is the same episode every day. Changing the Seasons Pass recording option to "All (including duplicates)" from "New and Reruns" has fixed the problem on the affected SPs.

That explains it all, still Tivo could have replyed to my support question about this.

Seems to be fixed now.  Q + A on Sunday is now showing that it will be recorded.  Still no email reply from Tivo (apart from a automatic one telling me what to do when I receive my replacement Tivo).  Maybe replacements are now the standard fix Laughing

At least One News have the common sense to call their 6 pm bulletin "One News at 6 pm". The 3 News bulletins are just called "3 News", so if you want to record its 6 pm bulletin you have to either set it manually by time/channel, or do it by name, keep 2 episodes, and ignore the 12 pm half-hour bulletin.
