BMW; what's so good about it? My Toyota is good enough.
Why would anyone, ever, for any reason, consider buying a BMW?

Oh. Do you mean for things like features, ease of use, build quality, user interface quality?

Cheers,
Joseph

the only feature i really like about it is the remote scheduling via mytivo.co.nz (or whatever the website is).

the interface is pretty ugly and out dated, theres no epg for prime. i used one for about 2 months then switched to windows media center 7.

I like that you can search programmes with certain words in title directly from box, and even have it record it automatically. Good for the coming soon programs, that they don't give a start date for.

Tivo, Magic TV, other digital recorders...

The main appeal is being able to watch what you want when you want, and not have to schedule your life around your programmes' schedules.

Downloads dont count towards your usage on Telecom, if you buy it with the monthly installments it gets charged to your telecom bill, ours is only $10 a month for 36 months I think because we got it when they had that massive special on for home account customers.

What I like about it too, someone says "oh damn blah blah show is on tonight" so I can say "Its algud I'll TiVo it from my phone". Did that at macas the other night with family, nana was stoked and couldnt believe it was possible. Lol.

User friendly-ness is also very good, anyone can pick up the remote and use it

Being able to record one thing and watch another is cool too.

I love my TiVo, let TiVo love you!
