Well I've got the new software version and now I don't get the "Your line up has changed" message.

However I am still getting 2 of nearly every channel.

I had waited till I had the new software version before I went through and deleted all the lower signal channels which made the guide a little bit easier to manage.

But a couple of days later they were all back (along with lots of placeholder channels!).  I am in Auckland (Devonport) and I presume I am getting SkyTower and Waiatarua (they are nearly in line).

Anyway am I missing some way of telling Tivo that I REALLY don't want to see all the channels I have deleted come back when they add something new ?

thanks

John

Rather than deleting channels, have tried just taking the tick out of the boxes of the channels you don't want to view?

It's one side of having no smarts like approved boxes. Even the first Zinwell could auto detect the presence of the same channel on duplicate MUX's and only dispay the channels from the strongest MUX.

It may take a bit of trial and error before you get the correct channels especially if your in Auckland. I found that the Mediaworks channels had issues and some had to use the second one in the list. Same from Prime..

Just out of interest, what area of the country are you in?

This weekend is ment to be when the waikato/te-ahroa transmitters change frequency, maybe they are having the new frequencies on-line for a few days before removing the old frequencies, and this is the reason for the double ups?

I'm in Auckland.  The double ups show in the EPG even when they are not ticked.

I am tempted to point my aerial towards PineHill just to hopefully  get rid of the problem!

You sure you aren't picking up Skytower and Waitarua?

Te-Ahroa is scheduled for DTT restacking in May at the moment.

I am sure I am (see the original post). But how do I get rid of the problem it causes?

You don't mention which site you're primarily attempting to access. Your original post only mentioned Pine Hill as an alternative.
If you're looking to receive from Skytower, is you polarization set to vertical to match that transmission?

If you can rotate your aerial through 90 degrees in the vertical plane, then that should produce a significant change in relative levels received from each pair of frequency sets.

Any help?

I also got double ups after Tuesday's frequency shuffle.

Deleting the old frequencies hasn't affected anything yet.

TV3 (but not the other Mediaworks channels) had a few hiccups but eventually sorted itself out.

No one has answered my Q on whether the season passes automatically updated to the new frequencies or whether I have to reset them manually.

If HybridTV have IDed the channels correctly, the TiVo will know they are the same one. If not you will have to do new seasons passes. I don't know what the case actually is, Christchurch doesn't get retuned until August.

When the epg is up press enter and look at the options.  You can choose to display favourites only (or something like that).

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You .

The option was to display set to display  all channels  (the choices are all channels, channels I receive or favourites).  I changed to Channels I receive and now I only get one of each (even though I do receive the doubles ups and can watch perfectly good quality TV on them - some interesting semantics there).

Now that I know about the options I can go and set the favourites and use that option  - Can't see anyone in our house watching Parliament TV anytime soon.

Thanks Again

In the settings you can delete channels permanently. I did this last night after the recent frequency changes meant the old ones were still in the list.
