I really like our Tivo and appreciate more things about it all the time

BUT the one thing I miss from mySky is the user interface around the guide and program information.  Is there any Tivo equivalent of the MySky coloured buttons for Page Up/Page down and +/-24Hours ?

Cheers

John

The "skip to hash" button advances the EPG 24 hours. (related, do you know how to use the skip button to advance while "fast forwarding"? It will advance to the next white hash mark on timeline)

Cheers,
Joseph

I have my EPG configured so it only shows 8 channels that I watch, I don't have to scroll the guide vertically.

I think there are shortcut buttons to skip to different sections in the TiVo menu using the number buttons instead of scroll and enter buttons.

I use a harmony remote and have sequences programmed for fast forwarding. I hit the blue button and it runs this sequence [with 1500ms between presses] FFWD>FFWD>FFWD>PLAY buy the time it has run through the sequence it has gone through half of a normal ad break. If I hit it twice without even waiting it runs though the sequence twice as it buffers the sequences.
One tap gets through late night short ad breaks and two is usually just short of a prime time long break and usually goes slightly over and I can skip back two or three times. So handy.

Yes, you're right. I use the TIVO button followed by "2" button to go to the To Do Record list - it's the only one I've remembered.
Thanks for the Harmony suggestion. I must try it.
I tried some button pressing combination for the remote once, that was supposed to turn the Next Chapter button into a fixed time jump forward. It never worked for me, however it has disabled the normal next/previous chapter functions and I've never been able to restore this original operation.
Any ideas, anyone?

I tried the hack even though I knew it was for a different model TiVo.  Although it hasn't screwed up any chapter jumping while fast forwarding.

Completely disabled the prev/next buttons or just for chapter skipping.  Bear in mind you need to be fast forwarding a recorded show [not timeshifted] to be able to use chapter skip.

Also set up a 1 button delete sequence on the Harmony to run Enter>down>down>enter for clearing the suggestions. quicker.

You mean to delete a recorded program? Why not just hit the "clear" button? Maybe I don't understand what you mean by:
