Spent a chilly winter's Sunday afternoon putting a kitset together of a model movie projector that I got for my birthday last month.  Good fun, very therapeutic....and it works.

@floydbloke Very nice. It’s also given me inspiration for presents as I’ve never noticed these before so checked out their website. I love that it is a working model. How long did it take you to assemble and would you recommend it for a young tween.

@Eva888.  I spent about 6 hours on it.  The recommended age on the box says 14+.  The instructions are generally very good so someone younger would be OK with most of it I'd say, although there some bits that might need some adult help.  In particular the little plastic grommet bits that go on the end of the metal shifts were quite difficult and needed a bit of force.

floydbloke:

... the box says 14+ [years].

And Donald Trump managed to complete it in 11 years!

Perhaps create a discussion about these in their own thread?

Playing with my new camera while on a long weekend away at The Mount. I'm sure I'll get better, but these are the first real photos I've taken with the new camera, so was playing with a few settings (and of course the massive zoom range (22-1200 equiv.)
