Oh where did you find that? Nice. I would probably have jumped at that price, lowest pricespy shows for NL is $1359.

One thing I have noticed with Trademe vs Ebay in Australia is people in NZ try sell things used for more than what they cost new.
Nothing more so evident for me right now than used DSLR's
Take a simple d5200 for example. Most are wanting the price of a new D5300.
I really wish we had ebay in NZ not trademe, I hate its UX as well.

Depends.
In the US, 'street price' for new cameras is usually lower than RRP.
In NZ, RRP is usually what you have to pay unless you know the store well - there is no tradition of discounting.
