Canon TAv is called M or P. I don't use 600D but it's one of the 2.

You sure your lens isn't faulty or needs micro adjusting? 600D should focus fine. A 70D would not be that much of an upgrade. Maybe some more FPS.

Heh when I read the topic I thought it was a concentration topic and I was going to suggest a gun to the head makes one focus quite quickly :) 

Interesting replies I'll have a closer read later.

Maybe a possibility. I have since upgraded to the 70d, and the 17-55mm met a dismal end and was replaced also, no problems since :)

 

Halfway through my second photography course. Learning lots....
