Went out for a walk today.
This little flew onto a branch a couple of meters away. I started to back off so I could get him in focus (min focus distance is about 5m) but he jumped down onto the path and followed me :saddowns:
I stopped and he came within about 1/2 a meter away and just looked at me waiting for me to move again. He was looking for bugs under the leaves I was disturbing.

I continue to be envious and in awe of of Raikyn’s skills and results, but I’ve finally managed a macro shot myself worthy (well, in my view anyway
) of posting here.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

The curious effect of atmospheric refraction - created a landscape that isn't really there. This at about 600mm. The apparent buttes etc in the background are the Inland Kaikouras, seen from Chch.
Contrast/levels enhanced to show the effect.
Very Star Wars looking!

Thanks, looks like you've got the hang of it, just takes time and patience really and learning creatures habits.
I've one from yesterday
