Anyone know where to purchase a second hand microscope from?  Want to look at bacteria, fungi.  A way to capture images would also be good.

Trademe? Most will not have a way of capturing images as they will be optical ones. I presume digital ones will be quite costly. I did try a usb kids microscope that recorded images, but it may not have teh magnification.

You could try Jaycar, they have some USB microscopes. As above, possibly not great quality though

I suspect those USB ones don't have sufficient resolution with 1.3Mpx lenses.

There's a guy selling monocular microscopes on TM with 40x objective lenses .. but I'd like to find a binocular scope.

Oops .. had my TM set to Wgton only rather than NZ.  Time to look again.  And Jaycars is open on Sunday I think.
