Hi,

I want to wrap a label to a blank bottle, to make it look 3D. I have got Photoshop CS5.5 Standard - NOT Extended with the 3D menu option. I've tried looking online but the advice is all about that 3D menu!

Is there another technique I can use in the Standard Edition to achieve the same thing? Bollocks to Adobe for removing the 3D filter and making me pay extra!

cheers

Tried using the warp and perspective-type tools?
Don't ask me about them, I only know they exist.

Thanks for the suggestion, chainsaw. I actually decided to try Illustrator's Map Art function. It took a couple of goes to create a cylinder the same width as my bottle, and get the perspective the same, but it worked in the end.

I used a contrasting colour for my cylinder so that when I pasted the final object into Photoshop I could easily select and delete the cylinder leaving only my warped label.

Not seamless, but it did the trick :)
