Hi, im quite a newbie on dslr. Im planning to buy a DSLR and currently my friend is selling his Samsung NX200
I wonder if i should take it. This is my first DSLR. I have no idea on such camera. But i really love the image quality of a dslr picture which make me considering it.
My main question is should i buy a mirrorless DSLR or a standard DSLR?
and does anyone here have experience with Samsung NX200?

Sony NEX-5R or 6 are pretty good, otherwise Canon EOS-M.

Mirror cameras tend to have bigger sensors and better image quality. Mirrorless are slightly smaller and image quality is fine for most things.

Just buy the one you want really. Canon/Nikon are the best brands. Sony are pretty good. Samsung... not sure but the S4 phone is pretty good for a phone, but no idea about their actual cameras.

i tried google for a review. the nx200 model is actually not that famous among users. but from all the review of websites and current users they put a pretty good rating for it. well my friend offer the whole system to me for ~$400. is that good enough?

im a noob with a tight budget ><

Looks average to good. Your first DSLR chooses your system, once you buy lenses few people change systems. At that price seems fine, but if you have ambitions for lenses and such skip it for a more popular brand.

Just to point out, a mirrorless camera (MILC), is not a DSLR, though both have interchangeable lenses. Typically a MILC will be an intermediary step between a compact and a DSLR interms of features & quality - though in practice, they're much the same as an entry level DSLR in terms of image quality anyway.

Micro four thirds is an interesting platform. I considered it but the cameras still need a dedicated bag, so I got the Sony RX100. Big sensor, great zoom lens, fits in my pocket. Any pocket.

Poor shutter response time after you press the button
Inferior image processing

I would second that assessment of Samsung cameras. Bought a Nex-5N and really happy with it.

Not sure about all this Samsung hate, I've had a NX11 for a while, I don't have any problems with the interface or shutter response. That said, if you can a more reputable camera for a similar price, you probably should go for that

It may pay you to check the camera on offer (NX200). This camera does not have a built-in electronic view finder, only an excellent AMOLED 3" dislay.

Samsung's DSLR camera is the NX20. I have owned one of these for just over 1 year and have found it to be an exellent camera in all respects. It is the 3rd version of Samsung's NX** series and is supported by a good range of excellent, lenses. For a DSLR it is light, compact, easy to use and produces great shots - highly recommended.
Google "Samsung NX20 review" for some expert opinions and you will see that it generally rates very highly, on par with other highly praised cameras such as the Sony NX7.
