A couple of months ago I bought a Dell XPS 15 9530. This is my first ever laptop with glossy monitor and it looks potentially promising. However, the colours and saturation don't look quite right. I'm not sure if it's just my eyes not being used to looking at glossy screens or something else. Ideally I would like to see how this monitor looks before splashing out in a calibrator.

Does anyone in Christchurch have a hardware calibrator who can help me decide please? If anyone can give me a hand perhaps I can see the true potential of this screen.

Cheers,
D.

I'm in Wellington with a Spyder 3. I also have a DTP94 which I don't use, but doesn't work on LED screens. You have to run software to do and load calibrations, I wonder if that would cause problems for the license on the primary computer. If not and someone can vouch for you (sorry don't know you well) can potentially loan you mine. Preferable to find someone closer though.

Thanks timmay, that's very kind of you but I'm not sure if I'm that happy borrowing a device from that far away... some say "overseas" ;o) Having said that, I do visit Wellington every now and then. Will PM you in a minute...

I'm in Christchurch and have an i1Display Pro that you could borrow. PM me if you still need it.
