So anyone buying?

I am still happy with my D3s and D3x so won't be parting with $15,000 to replace them. Perhaps when the D5 comes out.

Sample images here. ISO400,000 (that's not a typo) looks usable in a push... ISO 50K looks usable for wedding work. Wow.

Yes, it will be spectacular for low light.

Mind you the D3s is already pretty good and not many people get married in the dark...!!

I end up using ISO6400 F1.8 quite a bit for dancing photos and similar. I do light a lot of stuff, but sometimes capturing ambient the way the eye sees it is more important than crisp clear shots.

A stop better ISO performance, and much more usable AF, can see a lot of Pro's going for it, especially when you can sell off your 2nd hand D4 and then it becomes a $1500-2000 upgrade.

60fps 1080 could be a big draw card for the video inclined.

Maybe. It's not enough of an improvement to get me out of my D3 series bodies. Unless it does something that will actually earn me more, which it doesn't, why would I?

As yet the NZ dealers all show zero stock and price as TBA yet US customers are shooting with it!!

Fair enough, a lot of it comes down to the type of photography you're doing, if you're not already pushing the ISO of your current camera, and not doing any video then the 4s is pretty useless.
