I have had a Canon Powershot A2000 IS for several years that suits my requirements well. Unfortunately, the focus has stopped working. I can hear the gear whirring so it is something mechanical that has come loose or broken. My question is if this is worth fixing, how much it would likely cost, and whether anyone here can do such work or make recommendations. I live in rural Hastings.

Used ones are $30 or so on ebay, so not worth any techs even booking a job in on one of them.
