I've been looking st uogrades, replacing my 8 year old 1000d. It's served me well, but I want something a little quicker, a little better and with video.

I've got the 18-55 and 70-200 kit lenses and a sigma 18-250mm which I tend to use day to day.

Mostly just travel pictures of the family, some scenic, some sports. I'm not an avid photographer at all, and would class myself as a beginner.

I started primarily looking at the 750/760d with the 18-135mm lens. You can get these on special sometimes for just under $1100.

Then I started looking at mirrorless. I was pretty convinced on the Panasonic g85 with the 14-140mm these tend to be around the $2k mark which is stretching the budget. The today I started looking at the g7 anyone dealt with any of these and have any thoughts. I like the thought of the 14-140 lens (g7 I think you can get it for 1500. But with just the standard stablaished kit lens for 1097 or twin lens for 1275. The g85 for the basic lens (which I hear is good) is 1640.

To me price is a factor,...I just wonder if at my experience levels if I'd notice the differences with the g85 that $500 would give me.
