While I was in Napier I decided to take a heap of photos of Pania of the Reef and utilize photogrammetry to create a 3D Model of her.

Here is the end result.  Feel free to have a look see.

If you wish to have a look at some of the other scans i have done please look here.

Kind Regards

I went overboard.  577 Photo's.  Wanted to make sure I had enough overlap.  Don't go to Napier that often.  Still almost didn't have enough overlap for one of the legs.

Now all i have to do is to turn my skill set into a money earner.  Who wants to hire me :)

I do know of Simon Che de Boer and am connected to him via Facebook Messenger and he is aware of what I do.  No Job offers as yet.

To be totally honest.  Simon is levels above me.  Amazingly skilled man!

What should i scan next.  Have been thinking of doing some work at Karangahake Gorge but that will cost me $250 approx to fly my drone there as i would be hosting it on my webpage.  I don't have spare money at present.

First I think you should get in touch with Napier City Council or the tourist people or any official body promoting Napier. You have a PR winner here and I'm sure the right people would appreciate what you have done. Even if no immediate return from it, the reputational boost would be immense. The local paper might be another possibility. Hawke's Bay Today. The only problem might be persuading people to click on a link from an unknown source.

Does anyone have a contact at the council who might be able to point my way?

I don't, but don't be afraid to approach them out of the blue. If the right people see what you have done, I'm sure they would be interested. The problem is finding a way to get them to look at it. These days people are rightly wary of unknown links. If you are not local, that makes it harder but I'm sure there must be some way to get around that.
