Gerald V Crapp Historic Reserve Sculputre, Omokoroa, New Zealand

 

In commemoration of

 

Rev. Joseph Tice Gellibrand (1826 - 1887)

 

and his sailing vessel ‘Alma’ used for transportation

 

He was the first European settler on this peninsula in 1877 and, as a farmer, he planted many of the exotic trees in this reserve
