I don't get to get away that often, also since I am alone it gets expensive also, I also don't travel with work etc.  If one was limited to 45mins from their home, how similar or different would your photography be?  Some would say they enjoy re-visiting local locations and photograph them where the light is different.  I know also there is also such a photography topic as "100 yards" (from home).

I'm lucky where I live (Whangaparaoa) as theres multiple beaches within minutes, https://www.freewalks.nz/auckland/shakespear-regional-park-walk/track "down the road" which has a range of wildlife including kiwis. Funny thing is, I dont actually go very often to take pictures... more so now that my camera died and I restricted to my phone.

To make things different, perhaps change your subjects, instead of wildlife, try scenery etc, mix things up and try a variety of things.
