If you have a pair of Red/ Cyan(blue) glasses check this out. (or even if you don't!)

http://www.binoscope.co.nz/wxtoimg/noaa.html

Have a click on the first big picture the Latest Composite Image with Enhancement: MCIR-anaglyph. It will open a new 3D image that will fill the screen.

I have installed a 137Mhz satellite reciever the audio output goes to the line in of a pc and some software, Wxtoimg reads this and turns it into NOAA weather pictures. The difference here is that it also makes a 3D version based of temperature to determine cloud height. It works suprisingly well.

The 3D picture is also a composite of several images taken over the last 24hrs. This means with satellite passes out to the east and west it makes a very wide, fairly hi res photo.

Enjoy !

You may be able to either make a pair of glasses with red gel over the left eye and cyan over the RH eye. Also most video stores get boxes of these to give away with older 3D movies. Just ask you'll probably get a pair for free. Also they are on sale on trademe. The red green ones won't work however.

The images are stunning and it is worth the effort :-)
