Hi
I'm sizing up video NLE 's and veering towards Sony Vegas Platinum 10. Only thing is there are few nz distributors and sony.co.nz lists it as RRP $199 or so (others from approx $180). Tho at sonycreativesoftware.com its downloadable for US$95. currently thats quite a saving.
Is there any reason not to get the d/l version? I can't image i'll be missing excellent local costumer support or anything.

Any one tried such a track? any likely snags?

thanks
mike

Can't comment on the latest version, but have used previous versions, up to v7 or 8, downloaded directly from Sony, they all worked fine on my PAL content.

You can get it in NZ for $130-140(Current exchange rate is $130.354 + 2% currency conversion = $132)

From Rubber Monkey

or
Acquire.co.nz

Where abouts are you?
If you are in Wellington you could drop down to the Rubbermonkey store in Newtown
