Anyone able to help with this please? Brought the GE DV1 and pleased with it - idea is a coaching aid for sports, i.e. record a player at training then show and tell by being able to play back right there and then. Issue is I'd like to carry within the camera some "doing it right" video copied from storage on my laptop as a further reference for those discussions but when I copy across I can't get the camera to see those files in the playback menu.

Have installed a 16gb SDHC card that I can see when I connect camera to laptop. I've tried converting and copying across the video from laptop to the SD card in various formats but cant get the camera to recognise it in the playback menu.

User manual for camera says file format for movies is Image compression: MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, Audio: AAC.

When I view the files recorded on the camera on the laptop they show as .mov files, so tried converting existing clip to .mov Quicktime High Quality. No luck when copied across. Using PowerDirector8 to convert video so tried other likely HD formats that PD8 allows H.264 AVC (AVCHD 720*576) and Portable MPEG-4 (PSP-MPEG4 AVC). No luck with either.

Out of my depth here, any help appreciated.

You must have got a CD with software when you bought it? Use that. I understand you can't just click and drag clips across to your PC if using H.264 codec.
