Im after a cheap video camera around the $300-400 to take HD videos of a person doing a demonstration to be uploaded on utube.

Ive come across the gopro naked and it looks pretty good. Anything else in my price range?

I know little about this, but the "flip" brand/range seems to be cheap and not awful, according to a friend of mine.

Some of the latest canon point and shoots (< $200) are claiming HD quality video - I'm guessing 720p. I haven't tried opne personally but are looking at the A1200 which can be bought for as little as $129 ( link) - that price ws at JB HIFI.

I have a gopro HD and it's great, but it's got an ultra wide field of view that's more suited to sports than something like a demonstration of a product etc... almost any P&S camera with HD would be a good option for an unchallenging situation like a static camera for a demonstration (like how to bake a cake etc)

Cheers - N
