Apparently FB have been experimenting with a grand AI to control their servers,

This morning it went live and was given access to the real online data of users ..... after considering what it had just  read....  it committed suicide

Right...if this continues, YOU PEPOLE had better start coming up with interesting things for me to amuse myself with, or there'll be hell to pay!

I have removed the app from my phone and the only reason I use FB now is to manage the company page. I avoid that platform. Also Twitter - only use it once a day to check for new private messages.

What if you don't use Facebook much (if at all) but access some app/game that requires you to use a Facebook login to access it?

... and then there's the serious stuff...like... how am I supposed to know which lost cats to keep an eye out for and if there were any rowdy local youth loudly revving their car last night.

some actually spend hundreds of $ advertising on the platform. 🤬
