Yeah, I like the look of the circles too. One of the reasons I stopped using FB was I had these real diverse mixes of people in there, friends, family, co-workers, and so on. Sometimes I wanted to post stuff up there but didnt want everyone to see it!

Totally agree about the circles. I know facebook can achieve that same function but I could never be bothered figuring out how to set it all up and therefore don't post a lot of things because I know most of my friends won't want to see it. Circles is so simple and central to g+ that it makes things much easier to share.

WTF?! Thats just evil - how hard could it be to open it up a bit? Personally I think their biggest chance of success is to open it up quickly not slowly. I know it increases chances of a FU but social networks... well... they sorta need lots of people to be fun :)

What does it do when you go to join?
It gives me an error saying something along the lines of 'Google Profiles is not enabled for your organisation'; Google Profiles being another service Google have been providing for a while (to non-apps users), and is key to Google+.
But it seems this Google Profiles service is currently unavailable to people hosting their own domain with Google Apps (there is no way to turn it on, it is simply not offered).
It seems crazy to me; I mean, if someone with an email account entirely unrelated to anything Google can set up a Google Profile, it can't be that hard to allow it for Google Apps users!
So far really liking it. I ALMOST switched to GMX because I fell in love with their interface for email, but the new gmail has me back... damn I'm such a magpie!!!
Search I think it a good improvement, calendar just looks cleaner.
I think google have remembered less is more. IMHO the reason people went off myspace and hotmail was it got too cluttered, facebook for me is heading the same way. Keep it simple and the web will +1 you
