richms: Damn, just says I will have an invitation soon.

Oh ok I didn't realise it still required invites. Not much to look forward to anyway, it's exactly the same as facebook messaging.

Ok, I never use facebook chat or messaging because its not cross computer in outlook like email is. Does facebook messaging with the email address let me use something that is not a horrid web interface to access it?

I don't think so no, but then I haven't looked into it much. As far as I know, when someone emails you at you facebook address it's exactly the same as receiving a regular message.

Oh stink, probably wont use it then other than getting an address. Its bad enough having seperate contacts from facebook friends etc which means constantly going to facebook, finding addresses taking them back to outlook etc, cant stand having things in many places.

The android app is great, and I love the instant photo update. It will automatically upload any photos taken on your android phone to Google+, where you can then decide if you want to share them or not. You can set it to only upload over wifi.

That sounds fantastic - can't wait till they open it up to Google Apps accounts too!

+1 to that. The only major thing missing from the mobile app is video chat, if it had that... well... bye bye skype baby

Yeah it seems Google have shut down the loophole that let us get around their restricting invites problem Cry

Once they let us start inviting again hopefully they'll all go out!

Personally I think they need to encourage us to invite people, I mean what use is a social network unless people can join it?

How strange... I didn't realise this but at some stage along the way my Google Apps account was associated to a plain Gmail account. Quite frankly I can't remember creating that Gmail account! Now I was able to sign up to Google+ in a somewhat convoluted way - I signed up with that Gmail account, which became my "primary email", and my savitarbernese.com address is there too! The invite must've been sent to savitarbernese.com since that's the only address I gave out, then "routed" to my plain Gmail account! This is weird... I hope it's not going to mess up my future setup once Google+ goes live...

BTW, thanks Josh B for the invite! :)
