Hi guys, I've been invited to a Sony Launch Event and this is my first time going to any launch events etc.. Does anyone have any tips on.. what I should wear, should I have a nametag, etc please?

As you all may know, first timers to events are always the nervous ones! :P

Thanks.

Halo 3 T-shirt should get some attention :-)

Can't go wrong with jeans and a shirt, you'll fit in most places like that

Wish I was you last launch I went to was ps vita. Sony do the best launches but no need to dress super formal just semi formal(nice shirt, shoes and pants). Never worn a name tag.

All the product launches I have been to have been relaxed about what you where - thought most of the time half the crowd is dressed in their retail uniforms. I suspect if they have invited you they won't want to make you feel bad for under dressing :)

So a t-shirt and jeans would be fine, a shirt and pants would be fine too. No need to bother with a suit.

Oh and also there is no age limit so that's why I can go! :) But alcohol will be served.. (Which I won't be touching...of course!)

The Xperia Z was the standout smartphone of CES in Vegas this year. Chatted with one of the Sony USA staff about it on the NZ Tech Podcast last month. I'll be at the event too so do come and introduce yourself.

Cool, ask them if they're going to fix the camera firmware so that it can take shots as good as last years 8mp flagships.

Be interested to know your thoughts on it!

So what are the "formalities" that Sony usually put on at their launch events?

So tomorrow is the event! Also (so I can prepare some money if needed) are the drinks and food usually free?

I have never had to pay for a drink or food at any launches.
