In the past two weeks I have been getting one to two friend requests each day from what looks like a bogus account. They seem to be harvest friends from two people on my friends list. I decline all but interest to know why these accounts keep on appearing. They seems to be getting 100-200 friends really quickly.

Any ideas?

Possibly scammers. If they pretend to be someone who you are already following watch out for the old "Hey, I need help. I was mugged in London and need some money to fly back home".

Usually its a totall random hot chick so all the guys friend them.

Call me old fashioned, but I'm not friends on Facebook with anyone I don't know first hand, and even then I'm picky.

A lot of my daughter's (actual) friends used to send me friend requests but I declined them all. I asked my daughter to explain to them that it's nothing personal, I don't think it's appropriate for a 50+ year old man to have a couple of dozen vague acquaintance teenage girls as FB friends. But for many of these kids there is something (either self-validating or just downright narcissistic) about collecting social media likes and followers.

In many cases though these requests from strangers or "friends of friends" are scams. As well as @freitasm's correct comment that they will often start asking you for money, if they are on your friend list they potentially have access to more of the personal information in your profile, which they then use for identity fraud.
