Hi, hopefully someone can help with this one;

I'm helping scheduled posts on Instagram/Facebook for someone who is based in the USA (meta accounts belong to them). When I am scheduling posts with the Meta Business Suite, it will tell me recommended times to post when the audience is most active. Its not clear if those times are local NZ times or USA times.

Anyone had experience with this?

Thanks

The recommended posting times you see in Meta Business Suite for scheduling posts are likely based on the audience's local time, not necessarily the account owner's time zone. Facebook and Instagram have algorithms that analyze the activity patterns of your followers to determine the optimal times to post when they are most active.

So, if you're helping someone in the USA manage their social media accounts and their audience is primarily in the USA, the recommended posting times should be in the USA time zone. However, it's always a good practice to double-check the time zone settings in the Meta Business Suite to ensure that the posts are scheduled for the correct time zone.

To verify the time zone settings for scheduled posts:

  1. Open Meta Business Suite.
  2. Go to the post scheduling section.
  3. Look for an option to set the time zone for your scheduled posts.
  4. Ensure that the time zone is set to the USA or the relevant time zone for the majority of the audience.

Hi, great information, however I can't find anything that relates to the timezone setting under the post planner / scheduling tab... have also looked under general settings and can't see anything there.
