I now have people in my contacts that I do not know, I have not "friended".... including some young people.

This has lurched heavily into creepy as hell territory .

Meta AI is there too, and THAT has already been accused of inappropriate connections towards young girls....

This not a sudden thing. It’s been like that for at least 15 years - which is when I abandoned it.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Compromised accounts of people that you knew that let their account get taken over and its now changed to a hot lady that is trying to con other people.

If it's showing you young people then you can be sure it's a fake account.  Facebook's a retirement community now.

I assure you, after I have a conversation with someone, FB will magically start recommending me the exact stuff we were talking about. More than once.

I have turned off every setting and it still did that, I uninstalled it from my phone.

But my wife wanted to keep it so now it just recommends her stuff that we talk about. (it's an iPhone. supposedly prevents Google and FB spying on you. yeah right)

I have noticed this too. It seems to be people I have conversed with at some stage but it may have been awhile ago.

In my case I know this is someones grand daughter, I have never met her, but I know her name.

As I say, this is creepy.

Add to that FB is being very weird in the way it interacts with young girls....

You more or less have to not allow access to contacts from the outset. And not give it your number in accounts.

Else it uses that for people to find you (you get suggested too) and likely then lets it mess with adding others itself to your contacts as it sees fit. All the datas belong to us.
