Lately I have been getting a lot of shockwave plugin errors using google chrome when loading websites such as stuff.co.nz ...

 


a plugin (shockwave flash) is not responding

This happens on both my laptop and desktop  . 


anyone else noticed this? 

(windows 10 64bit).

Yea, I've noticed this happening a lot the last few days.
Not sure, guess it's something to do with the latest Chrome version.

it is annoying, no obvious fix  -- some people have disabled built-in flash and installed adobe flash with varying results.

I thought chrome doesn't do flash. I must be years behind the times. But yes i saw this once.

you could try Chrome canary , i have used it for months and i dont seem to get the error. 




Common sense is not as common as you think.

Yep also getting this. I am on Win10, Chrome Version 44.0.2403.155.

Bloody annoying.

You using 32 or 64 bit Chrome? I use the 64 bit version and do not seem to be having these issues.

Not sure about a proper fix, but you should be able to disable Flash by going to chrome://plugins

Its funny, and only anecdotal....
but personally I find I have less issues running chrome 64 bit beta, than I used to have running the 32bit stable release.

People moaned that chrome didn't play nice with windows 10. but with 64bit beta, I've had zero issues.
No issues with flash either.

May I ask why you use the 64-bit beta and not the 64-bit release version?

Getting it fairly often on one PC - 64 bit W7. Not sure if the W10 computer's doing it.

Glad its not just me. Tried disabling one plugin that was not saved in the chrome directory but that was no help.
