Working very slowly for me but managed to register OK eventually.

Couple of niggles.
Log-in page says "Forgot you password?" - not a very professional look.
On registration, first name has to be at least 3 characters. Um, why exactly? I'm commonly known as Ed.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Didn't someone say it was developed in India, where english is a second language. That may account for it.

I think you will find that development in india has caused many many problems.
Pleanty of tertiary graduates all willing to program for peanuts but no real expierence. The ones in india that can develop good software still charge the same as what they do here or in the USA.

I am currently evaluating some technical software. Two of the vendors are based in the USA and have it developed in india. The result is that the software is half completed and pieces are missing. Eg. the server software is able to remotley control the client version, but half the features are missing or the english doesnt make sense.

I was able to register without any problems.  6 months ago I looked at listing our property on Trade Me and the fees were $299.  Now those robbers have increased the price to $399 for providing exactly the same service.  When I listed our last property in 2009, the fee was $99, so that makes a hike of 300% in the fees during the past 4 years!!!  Just plain greedy and it's time ppl started voting with their feet and give the newcomer a try.  If enough of us do it, there will be some real competition in the marketplace instead of a usurious monopoly.

And how much would it cost you to list with a Real Estate Agent?  How much would it cost you to advertise an equivalent advertisement in multiple news papers to get the same coverage?

Especially for real estate, Trademe fees are a pittance compared to the other options.

That's very true James, but there are other private sale options which don't cost an arm and a leg.  In fact I used one of them to sell our house in Auckland and totally avoid Real Estate Agents commission.

All it takes is for Wheedle or someone else to come up with a credible alternative to Trade Me and you'll see people deserting in droves.  This just might be the tipping point but only time will tell.

It must be something to do with your ISP, or perhaps a peering issue.  I'm on Vodafone RBI wireless, and Wheedle is super-fast, just as good as Trade Me or Sella.

Similar on Chrome. "The connection to wheedle.co.nz was interrupted". I'm with FYX/Maxnet.

I thought they had a "security Expert" advise them on the site?

I tried registering with a password that includes a '?' and this is what I get...

" You can not use any special characters."

Closed the tab and went back to browsing trade me.

That sounds bad, normally not allowing special characters means they are storing the password and not storing a hash of the password. If you forget your password are they sending it to you or resetting the password?

List an item here (Kingston desktop RAM). Let's see if it works...

For those talking about speed, it's pretty fast for me on Vodafone cable.
