Perhaps an indication of when out-of-stock items are due in? Some of your quad copters, at least, have been out of stock for a while.

No obvious link from the mobile PC sakes site to the main shop site?

There is a few things turning me off right away just looking at the product grid.

  • It looks like you try to cramp as many products into one row as you can, with as much info as you can. My eyes don't know where to look and are all over the place. On top of that you all that different logo types and social media things in the right sidebar. Sometimes less is more.
  • Product thumbnails/images are too small. Small images make everything else below look cramped. Some of your titles take up 3 lines of space.
  • If a product is on special the info in the left top corner saying "special, save $x.xx" is covering up too much of the product image (hence too small images). Also, you already indicate the saving with the original price in grey (strikethrough) and the special price (bold)
  • I assume those circles below the price and "ready to ship" is a rating? I couldn't find any info on what that is. I didn't see it on the product page, mouse over doesn't show anything either. Is it really needed there or could it be displayed on the product page or not at all? Not consistent if the rating is only shown on some products, but not on others. People might think those without it are simply less desirable products.
  • generally leave some space between objects.

Personally I would:

  • increase the product image and show only 4 products per row (if you can't live with that 5 is absolute max).
  • Take out all the stuff on the right sidbar, facebook, google+ etc. and add this information below the product grid. All this takes people's eyes away from the products. Getting more people to like you on facebook is nice, but you want people to buy your products. That should be priority on your site.
  • Change the color of the product title to black.
  • remove the rating circles
  • add call to action in form of a "Add to Cart" button
  • changing the look of the on special field using only the word "special", not using the save "$x.xx"

Site Search. If people can find what they want they will buy more.

I searched for iPhone with 0 results, even though you have a phone gadget section! It should have returned all the gadgets I can use with my iPhone.

Have a read of SLI Systems (free) Big Book of Site Search Tips: http://www.sli-systems.com/resources/white-papers-and-surveys

GarryJay: My bad. There is none. Was just trying to say that our PC products are from New Zealand suppliers so you will receive full Warranty.

I don't want to start a flame war, but I presume you are based in NZ.

If so, then *everything* you sell is covered under the CGA regardless of where you source it from.

INAL - but that's my belief, I'm sure others will disagree - you should get proper advice.

I think what he is trying to say is that even if he goes belly up, you will be able to go to the importer/producer and get your CGA covered.

If the place you buy your stuff from is importing it themselves, then you risk not being able to get your CGA covered if they go out of business. Either because there is no other importer, or because the importer/producer doesn't cover warranty of imports sold outside of their network.

A quick comment about your PC site. It seems you allow pickups. This is stated in the FAQ but the location is only given as Auckland, which is fairly unspecific http://pc.gadgetkiwi.co.nz/shop/faq . During checkout, East Tamaki is shown and should at a minimum be shown on the FAQ rather than making people register and proceed through checkout to find out. Anyway while this is better, IMO it would still be best to have more details. If you're worried that people will randomly show up at the address (is it a supplier address or something?), you could always put the street name without number or if that's still too specific a nearby main street (if it is a main street, I don't see the problem). Oh and as someone mentioned for the shipping info, you should make it clear it's free for pickups (or usually free) and you should mention this in the cost section rather than simply the where do you ship from one. BTW, your PC faq is also currently somewhat broken. The links take you to the general site which has different info.

I'm not sure if you're still after feedback or not, but here's my 2c.....

my main issue is with the pc site and the home page.  When navigating the categories in the black bars, only a few items appear (on the home page). I thought that was all of the items available. However, when using the categories at the top of the page, it navigates to a new page and all of the items available.

If that doesnt make sense, maybe just change the homepage to new items and specials, and leave the categories at the top.

Thanks for the discount code!

I REALLY dont need one, but I find myself wanting a htpc . . . . . . .
