Gave it a try. Unlike others in this thread I don't mind using Facebook but I did find that the messenger process was quite slow overall compared to a webpage. At one point the bot stopped replying and I had to repeat the previous answer so it was a 10 minute affair at the end.

Unfortunately the car insurance quote I got was 33.5% higher than with my current insurer with the same benefits added on (roadside + windscreen) so I don't see myself changing too soon.

Thanks Peppery! The chatbots been absolutely slammed today, indicating most people don't mind that it's within Facebook....but that won't stop us charging forward to the website version.

I'll pass the pricing comment on to our team, and see if we can look into what went on with the bot stopping replying.

FWIW, the pricing was competitive to AMI prior to me turning 25 and renewing it so I suspect that’s where the difference comes from (Cove doing 21+). I do like that rental cars is an option with you, too - I don’t currently have that option.

I'm still disappointed that FB is required, and when clicking the 'Not on Facebook' link, I'm promptly sent to a FB sign up page. I'm genuinely interested in comparing insurance prices, but refuse to use FB.

We'll have our non-Facebook version coming soon laughing

Got an error after it found my car and wanted me to select which variant it was.

Thanks for the screenshot - do you happen to have an adblocker installed? If so, this is something the devs have as high priority.

No add blocker installed on my computer. However where I'm currently located means my internet access is "Filtered" (for the want of a better word) via a proxy server and custom DNS.

I'll tether and try again.

Tether to phone fixed it.

And you are about $10 / month more expensive that what I'm currently paying.

You were about right untill I added in a few of your extras that my current insurance provider already includes as standard. And my current policy includes 2 under 21 drivers, which you wont cover at all.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll pass it onto the pricing and underwriting team.

Are you still wanting people to beta test for you? I'd be keen to give this a go, but I can't seem to see the early access tab on your website? Am I too late? No problem if so :)

Thanks for the offer! We have now launched, and you can access our bot by clicking any Check our prices button on our website. Despite launching we are still releasing new code and features every week, so I'd still love to hear your feedback on what we currently have, or on new features we should create.

When going through the bot you can get as far as entering your payment details without any commitment to purchase. So you'll be able to quote and personalise either a car insurance or phone insurance policy to test the waters.

Hey guys,

Big day for us today. Over the past three pages there were a number of comments saying bugger doing business on Facebook - so now you no longer have to. We heard you loud and clear!

We've launched car insurance today on our website, which we think is a nice & simple way to quote (and buy) for a car insurance policy.

Be stoked to hear your feedback, either here, or on the live chat.

Cheers,

Matt
