Certainly a possibility, and sounds like something Geta will consider.
I'm sure Trade Me would argue that the feedback rating system itself (Of which the feedback rating is a product) was created by them and is their intellectual property, as is the feedback rating produced.
Not sure if it would fly or not, guess we will see if they do decide to go down the legal route.
Risky for a new start-up to spend lots of money on lawyers for this in the early days tho. You don't want to blow a million bucks on lawyers only to lose, and then go under. Of even win, and then still go under.
What would be big money for a start up is loose change to Trade Me, who have their own in house council as well.
