Hi Geekzoners

I have recently headed into the realm of the self employed - setting up a company offering multi-platform Mobile App testing services aimed at the NZ developer community and companies building inhouse apps. This business is being built on work done with a previous employer (with their blessing and encouragment) and is trading as Synapse Mobile - www.synapsemobile.co.nz

I am offering Mobile App Testing on iOS, Android and BalckBerry platforms and have a suite of handsets offering good coverage across OS versions and various device formats and capabilities - always fun keeping up with latest releases! Smile
I have experience and history of testing and have consistent test procedures and processes in place.

Anyone who has a project needing additional App testing resource or who would like some App testing performed across a range of devices, please contact me to discuss how I can be of service.

I am based on the Kapiti coast north of Wellington and the decison to establish my own business is very much a lifestyle choice.

I look forward to any comments or feedback on this adventure.

Thanks for reading.

Cheers
Jae

Hi Jae,

Just took a look at your site using the QR code. It looks nicely optimised for mobile which I expected it would be since you're into testing mobile apps.

Are you limiting yourself to just those OS's listed?  For example while Symbian is no longer the prime OS for Nokia there is a large Symbian market plus there's still some good devices being brought to market with the Symbian platform.

Congratulations on the QR code that actually works and a site that loads up quickly on a mobile device.  For me the proof of the pudding is in the eating and what you done certainly proves to me you know your stuff.  Good luck with the business.

Hi Technofreak

Thanks very much for the feedback - much appreciated.
Keep it simple is my approach - seems to work lots of the time :)

Re Symbian - it comes down to the 80/20 rule really and the investment in hardware required. I know Symbian still has some market share and a loyal following - I believe the reality is though that new development for it is on the decline.
To be honest I am more likely to invest in additional Windows Phone devices - I think we will see MS throw a fair bit of dosh at getting new apps out there for this platform to try and stay in the game.

Having said that - I am always open to opportunities if there proved to be sufficient Symbian work :)

We shall see!

Thanks again for your feedback.

Cheers
Jae
