Watershed moment...

A critical turning point.
What it is actually is a moment in time where everything changes. A point in time when nothing after will ever be the same as before. To call it a turning point technically is true, but it is an overly simplistic definition of the phrase.

The figurative meaning comes from the literal meaning of a point, or division in a river, or stream where the river is split into two distinct paths that will not intersect again

What do you define as a watershed moment?
What format would they be leaving them in?
Who is the target market?
Why would they use this service?
How is this different from just chucking something on facebook?

I think the point is no-one can understand what you're getting at from your original post....not that no-one knows what watershed means. I'm struggling to punctuate it in my own head but I still can't really fathom what you're trying to achieve.

OK OK I was thinking out loud

My process is usaally

Shoot the breeze with the thought

Take those thoughts and refine them down to what where when why

Then how

Then Business Plan

and so on

I am at the shoot the breeze

Would a site that was all about watershed moments garner enough interest to attract traffic that would click ads and buy "I was there" merchandise be worth setting up

What moments are we talking about here. Specifically NZ or are you talking global?

You don't mean personal watersheds, you mean international events?

Like the day the Apple ][ was released or the ipod or the iphone.

Or like small stuff like the day the wall came down, or Diana died.

Oh dear oh dear you colonials are funny lot :)

All sorts of things but I prefer more personal notes

Like the first time you went to the airport without a ticket because you had been issued a eticket

or

The iphone was released

Or England win the world Cup

That sort of thing
