I see lifedirect has been bought buy TM Are comparison sites worth doing? where does the revenue come from? Or are they supported by a cartel of the companies ?

If they are worth doing I would have thought that a car insurance one would be a good idea , or is there already one? I know that on the occasion I have searched for a deal there has been a huge variance Also contents insurance would be good

They take a comission on any sales they generate.

Over here in Oz, iselect.com.au is very popular, and they have recently floated on the ASX (Although the share price has dropped significantly since the IPO)
