Hi everyone,

This isn't a NZ-based start-up - it's French, but it's relevant to Technology and the Web, so hopefully this is okay.

I found Openoox a few months back. It's a kind of web homepage that hosts whatever search engine you like (Google, Yahoo, Bing) and you can use it to save your bookmarks in a more orderly fashion than the browser's inbuilt function (Firefox, I'm looking at you).

It's a free, log-in based service, so you can log in from your phone, tablet or computer.

Although it's a tad slow to load, it looks pretty cool, and the extra bookmark add-on function allows you to bookmark websites without visiting the Openoox site.

You can then organise your bookmarks by drag-and-drop into folders of your choosing, which you can make private, or remain public and share with other users and non-users. It actually has quite a large social networking aspect to it, which is quite cool in theory, but I've never used it.

It's so easy to use, though I admittedly had trouble setting up the bookmark function.

I'd give it 4/5 stars, I reckon.

Here's a URL to the site for those who are interested in checking it out.
I'd be interested to know what you think!
