Hi all,

We are working on a content management software (project name SEYOH.com) to help manage and write SEO optimised content. People using Wordpress might be familiar with the YOAST SEO plugin. Our software is similar but independent from Wordpress and with more focus on content management (for companies or agencies). We have a list of additional features planned but before we go ahead and invest more time, we would love to get some feedback on what we have so far.

Also, we are curious about how companies manage their content. We would love to get some insider insights on that. Are there any marketing gurus around that would be happy to give us some input? Feel free to send me a PM.

Looking forward too your feedback (please don’t hold back :P).

Thanks in advance.

(PS. No payment or credit card required. The plans expire automatically after 30 days.)

I see it is similar to the WP one... But how do you enforce "one site" "five sites" unless it's connected somewhow to a CMS?

Thanks for the feedback. The "Sites" are referring to the amount of different projects/customers a user can manage per license. We want to integrate monitoring and tracking features for those sites.

An agency for example might want to manage unlimited different projects, one per customer. The Personal license is for single users managing the content for their personal blog, website or small business site. For companies we have increased the limit to 5 different projects.

Does that make sense?

Yes, it does. I guess I'd have to see how that works hands-on to get a better feel. How long is the trial?

30 days, but we are happy to extend that. Good feedback is key at this stage.

Just gave it a quick spin, looks cool. Honest opinion though, I don't think I'd use it, for a few reasons. Feels very beginner level. I gave it a go and I can see the value, but it's all basic "hygiene" with some of the recommendations feeling oversimplified and borderline out of date.

Eg: "Every page should contain one headline (H1)." - might have been patently true at one point, but open question now as HTML5 spec supports an H1 tag per section.

These are the kind of SEO/content tools I'm looking at in this area:

Edit: grammar ;)

If my post helped you, consider my referrals (: Sharesies $5 referral code, Skinny 4GB buddy code, Contact Energy $100 promo code

Thanks. I appreciate your honest feedback.

I see what you mean. You are right, most of our current recommendations do cover the SEO basics. We will need to review them and focus on the deeper, less obvious things. I will put that on our to do list.

Thanks again.

We have put together a short (10 questions) survey to get some insights on how people manage their content currently. This might make it a bit easier.

It would be fantastic if some of you could spare 5 minutes to help us out surveymonkey.com/r/WY3HPN8.

Thanks in advance.

:)
