Hi all!

Our main living room heat pump has stopped blowing hot or cold. It still blows but coldish air regardless of the setting.

We had all our heat pumps cleaned some months ago so it isn’t a cleaning issue.

I rang a few providers who showed no interest in repair and recommended replacement saying the lifespan of heatpumps is around 10 years (which is the age of this unit).

Can anyone recommend a good honest company to come and diagnose the problem and fix it if possible?

Thanks!

At ten years I would agree with the providers, it's probably not worth fixing. The cost of someone's time at probably $80 and hour or more, a main circuit board might cost $500, a compressor probably costs a lot, and a unit that old there may not be spare parts. You might end up spending a bunch of money on diagnostics to find it can't be fixed. If you really want to go that way, best tell us where you are.

Sounds like a gas issue they should be able to check the seals and re gas the unit quite easily
