I saw that Masport were giving away free cast iron casserole dishes for only some fires

So, I wonder if that is the reason why the Cromwell wasn't included.

The Akaroa also isn't included, and that isn't a ULEB. I suspect some of these newer gen fires have the top more thermally isolated or insulated. Some of the other models look to be pretty old designs, in terms of their look.

I wish I'd seen that promo...rather a good deal.

Has anyone tried a pellet basket in a ULEB fireplace to burn pellets instead of firewood?

Me trying top lighting of the Masport Cromwell ULEB.  Seems to work.  Only have to open the burner to load the firebox.  No more incremental loading as per their instructions.  So, only load again when the fire is low.  Sorry the glass is so dirty.  Took me over 30 minutes to clean the bottom glass after I had taken the video.

Wheelbarrow01 takes 15 minutes or so to reach downdraft mode.  The Cromwell takes 40 minutes according to their instructions and I managed to get there in 30 minutes.  Maybe their Mystique is better than the Cromwell?

I also cooked some spuds wrapped in tin foil once the fire was down to coals.  Takes 40 minutes.
