Just a note about notification from your alarm. I use (in addition to other things) the app notify my android (nma) to get info from alarms. I set up a free account with nma which allows for 5 free notifications a day. One of the ways of initiating this is with a key that they generate for you sent as an email address. With that option you can also set priorities. Format is apikey+priority@nmamail.net which you can set up in your notifications option in the ip150 set-up screen to email on alarm. This way, I receive free push notifications of alarm events to my phone (as long as I don't have more than 5 alarms a day).
I don't think the official (that you have to pay for!) paradox app includes this functionality.
I'm sure there's similar apps for the iphone as well (though, you probably have to pay for it from what I've heard about apple apps / users).
We're in our 4th house all lmaking use of paradox alarm system. Installed all of them myself. Latest is an EVO192 - wired and wireless monitoring, with access control, and internet connectivity for android application connectivity. Done some integration / automation with on-board relays (PGM's) - (e.g. garage door opener). Lots of features and functions. Never had a false event or any issue. Will do it again if I had to.
