How do you find these memory foam pillows. The other half bought one and it gave her a major headache. Never figured out if it was something to do with the angle of her neck or the fact the it was (obviously) new and smelled (smelt ?) terrible.
An alternative for memory foam in pillows is latex - it provides the same key benefit as memory foam, in that it's far more supportive than the standard pillow. It also has a certain "perfume", but this goes after a while; I got one on the recommendation of my physio, and love it.
I've read that memory foam can be quite a heat retainer, which isn't necessarily ideal for many people for either pillows (I like a cool pillow!) or beds. We bought a new bed last year and I recall being told they often try to mitigate the heat problem of memory foam in beds by adding in additional components. I avoided a mattress with memory foam for this reason, but even then found our comparatively flash new mattress way warmer than our old one. In summer I'd sometimes check to see if the electric blanket had been accidentally switched on!
