Also with ours, if they are adjusted properly, you can't lift them off the track without loosening the tensioning system behind the door. So you can't just lift up and pop them out.

Could you just screw an eyelet on the door and one on the wall and put a cheap padlock (combination would be easiest) through them? If its simply to stop kids or nosy guests that might be a super cheap and simple idea. Ugly though.

This will work. Tidy and easy to install top and bottom for each slider. Can be used with or without key.

I get the feeling all you need is something to prevent accidental access by random houseguests trying to find the bathroom. For that case just standard small bolts top and bottom is enough for a think twice pause and move on.

Even less for kids if they can't reach then standard bolts at the top only is probably adequate.

Yes that could work but as you say - ugly - so would rather something that looked a bit more "factory".

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "standard small bolt" but if it is what I think it could work, although your previous suggestion could look cleaner (and more expensive!).
