Do you have to replace both halfs of your double oven. If buying a double I'd go for separates stacked.

If you budget is 2k for a double then I think that's quite tricky.

This was my thought too. However electrician said a whole new circuit would need to be run for the second oven and with the design of my house, super expensive and difficult. Double oven doesn't have that issue as it's a single connection.

I've built various ovens in the garden using fire brick, and cooked pizza, roast potatoes, roast pork and Peking duck. Fire bricks were purchased from Placemakers but if you live in Auckland there are many more places to get different sized fire bricks.

That's annoying. I would think two separates would have the same power draw, however it might be a code thing, and he is not allowed to change to a double plug.

Allright - had the trade depot vogue oven for about a week. This model: https://www.tradedepot.co.nz/vogue-double-wall-oven-13-function-600mm-stainless-steel

It's head and shoulders above our old (and cheap) one.

main oven cooks evenly throughout which is huge for baking. the WAF is through the roof.

The little oven though not fan forced heats up very quickly and is great for a single tray of roast spuds or cheese on toast.

It's a little cheaply constructed ( dual glazed rather than triple, and it seems to form a lot of condensation) but so far for the price this thing is great.

Recommended.
