Not aggregate. It's plain concrete but coloured black via the 10% black oxide mix to look like below photo. We did not wanted aggregate specifically as we have it in our current house (unsealed) and find a PITA to walk on bare feet or with jandals.

The sealing will give it that shiny look much like the photo below.

The concrete path we are laying on both sides and back of the house for walking around is $92 incl GST per sqm if of below spec. This is only 100mm thick concrete and no SE665 mesh since no heavy traffic.

10% Black oxide 100mm thick concrete path. Price includes: full preparation, boxing, concrete supply and placing, concrete cutting, acid wash and seal.

Just throwing it out there, how much would it be to install some sort of winch contraption that could bring the gas bottles up and down without requiring a path?  WLG has loads of of these around for getting people and/or cargo up slopes.  Wouldn't have to be big.

I don't know, but I'd be surprised if the gas people didn't say something like that would be too much messing around for them.

We've thought of a way which will hopefully allow us to change the access to the bottles so they can come up via the driveway. If that's workable then we won't need steps or a ramp.

It'll cost a bit more, but I think it will be better for us as well as the gas man.

I thought the acid wash was the part that exposed the aggregate because my quote has acid wash on the exposed ag, but no acid wash on the coloured concrete?

Acid wash is a strong recommendation to apply whether you go with Aggregate or Plain.

The acid washing of concrete is a requirement after the concrete has cured sufficiently, in order to remove surface efflorescence and to open the pores before sealing. This will help the sealer to penetrate and result in a superior bond between the sealer and the surface. Floors that are acid washed before sealing will have greater colour enhancement and will appear darker than floors that have not been acid washed.

Look into Elgas "Automatic LPG Home Delivery"

https://www.elgas.co.nz/for-home/refill-gas-bottles-lpg-supply-bottled-gas

They don't exchange your cylinders, instead they drag a hose from their mini LPG tanker and fill your cylinder in-situ.

There is a larger ignition source exclusion zone for in-situ filling (3.5m instead of the 1.5m for exchange bottles). We have an outdoor heat pump unit that will be more than 1.5m away, but less than 3.5m.

I just re-read the quote and it actually does specify and acid wash for the coloured concrete.
