When you edit your post to add the missing image please rotate the images. It's more difficult to view / understand when it's sideways.

As for the scribers, a builder could custom make some to match what you have. They look to have just used the ones that come with Linea cladding

Based on the off-cuts he left these were made by him, I just dont know why he wouldn't have used the old scribers as template though but perhaps I am too naive.

Sorry.. tried to post as one but got an error saying too many quotes..

Aklben:

Question, how much did you get charged for the foundation work?

$3000 + GST for the foundation work, they were initially going to do an epoxy resin injection but in the end knocked out the old corner, braced teh floor, boxed it up and poured new concrete. Consisted of 40hrs labour and 60l of concrete.

Finewine:

How many quotes did you get for the work ?

Was the work carried out by a "licensed Builder" or "Rent-A-Husband" ? because that flashing is a shocker and at a guess would may not be to code.

I had about 6 guys come out to provide a quote but after visiting most of them never got back in touch, a couple said it would be materials + an hourly rate $75ph + GST but couldn't estimate the time, and they guy I went with my recommended to me from my boss at work and he gave me a 'ballpark estimate' of the work - although I am still to be given the final price and the estimate was based on them tidying up the existing corner box and scribers as opposed to replacing it as they did.

When the job was estimated the weatherboards had not been removed in prep for the foundation work. So far I have only paid $400 which was to cover the cost of him removing the 4 weatherboards (and ultimately the corner box/scribers also) since the foundation repair crew needed to co-ordinate with him to do it in advance of them arriving.

I have so many other things that I am trying to get quotes on, some trades are quick to respond but most just go silent and the impression I get it there is just loads of work for them and they can pick n choose then jobs they want.

I don't know if he is a LBP, I just deal with the boss guy of the company and he sends out a guy to do the job. He's an older guy but as to his qualifications or experience I have no idea. I kind of just trusted my recommendation and the patter of the boss guy that came over to get an idea of the job.

Anyhow, these are the other pictures I missed from my first post..

Once I've finished with this guy, definitely going to get him to re-do the flashing, I'm going to start looking for a new builder to do the remaining works and I'll chalk this up as a learning experience.

I have no idea why when I upload some photographs that they automatically get rotated - I added the previous ones via my computer as opposed to my phone and they were the correct orientation when it showed in my browser, maybe it is to do with the metadata.

That weatherboard that transitions into a new one (yellow to grey) should have a metal soaker that covers the join and slides up underneath the weatherboard above...
