In this case, there is a very good chance the circuit breaker was faulty.
As I stated earlier in the thread, the older plugin ones are known to become temperamental with age. They eventually get to the point where they just don't stay on.

I'm not so confident of that. B curve breakers really don't like SMPS in my experience. As an example I have a 24V 10A SMPS fed from a 6 A B-curve MCB in the PLC test panel in my office. That MCB trips through about every 5th time I close it depending where in the cycle it hits. One day I will get around to rebuilding that panel with the new gear sitting next to it but until then I just give it another go. 😆
