timmmay:
@Oncop53 bit big but thanks.
@phrozenpenguin perfect! Except for the price especially since I'd want two of them :(
If you find something better let us know!
This is my setup:
I use the small key light air to give a bit more even illumination on my greenscreen behind me. I'm not a streamer or anything, just do a lot of video conferences for work. Have moved to working from home 3 days a week now.

Is that a full size Key Light on the desk and an air on the left? Do you recommend them - for video conferences?

Yes thats right. They do work well giving a nice even soft illumination. I run them at about 30% power, more that that is a bit bright to have in your face, but that is plenty bright enough for a webcam. I match the colour temp to the lighting in the room.
It all gives a professional set up, and with the greenscreen I can project my work office wall behind me, have fooled quite a few people that I was actually at the office.
Looks like a nice setup! Probably a bit large for me, I was thinking LED panels maybe 5x10cm or ring lights so they were fairly compact. That's not going to be as good as larger, but I'm not looking for perfect, just better than nothing.
Interesting but pretty tiny. Godox is a decent enough brand.

Following up, I bought the Elgato Key Light air. It does what I needed and expected, just was more than I wanted to pay and clutters the desk up a bit!
Looks nice!
I have a window behind my monitor. I'm thinking LED strip lights running above my window or to both sides would give nice light. They're pretty ugly though.
I found a video light laying around, basically a 10 x 8cm grid of LED lights. No matter where I put it, within a meter of my monitor I found it way too bright. I've ruled out direct lighting.
Instead I got a 2m LED light strip for US$16 from ebay plus US$2 delivery, including an NZ plug adapter and a wireless remote. It arrived within 9 days, super fast for ebay. I tacked it up around the top of the window in front of me and it seems great! On the webcam it looks good. I haven't tried it on a video call yet but it seems to give a soft diffuse light as it's bouncing the light off the ceiling. I'll try it out for a week and then I'll get some LED conduit to make it look better sitting up there, and some way to make the wires coming down the wall look a bit better.
I don't know how bright it is, all it says is 8-10W / meter. Best guess around 2000 lumen, but bounced not direct. If I decide to upgrade I'd go brighter.
I'll report back again in a few weeks in case it helps anyone else.
